NEED HELP ASAP!

Hey! I have a problem! I was cleaning my engine today and covered a bunch of the parts with plastic bags so I did not get water in the electrics etc. Well I noticed that some water was surrounding the spark plug wire on the far right. I dried it off and took the car around the block. When I got back I have engine oil coming out of that far spark plug. Its pretty much gushing out. This is not a good time for this to happen with the IDRC event coming up. does anyone know whats causing this? Is the seal broken? What seal do I need from Honda since it is a ZC engine. Thanks alot

For now just pull the head cover, clean the plug galley seals and add a thin(very thin) coat of RTV to the bottom of the seal to the head contact area. This is a temp fix. I'll try to get you the PN and price for the seal later today.

Thanks, checked with a few friends and they are positive my O ring went. I was told to get it for the 89 Integra DOHC 1.6, so Im going to Honda later today. Could water getting in there crack the seal? I was using a engine cleaner also, maybe this is what caused it?

I think maybe they were talking about the Teg B18A or B18B engine. Yes water can enter the engine from the plug galley if the seals are bad.

Both engines will work, the D16A1 and B18A/B, but Honda won't be able to order them....that's an Acura part!

I've had the same thing happen. Eric he's right, just buy some of the black permatex high temp sealant like at an autozone, spread some on the cover - plant the Seal in there, and then that should be it.

There are also seals below the rocker arm assembly between that and the head - they are very small, and usually never go bad, but these also can leak into the plug well. If you still have problems and it's not the upper seals....check into these lower ones.

Just replaced the o rings, no oil as of yet. Had it running for about 15 mins. poped the plugs out and everything check out ok so far. Thanks
